ATHLETICS FACILITY MASTER PLAN
THE WAITING TIME IS OVER...LET THE WORK BEGIN

In the summer of 2006, a vision was created, plans were designed, and fundraising ideas were implemented for a new Master Athletic Complex.  Work has begun on the initial project of the f irst phase of our plan.  Since almost half of Page’s 1800 students participate on one or more of our 27 sports teams, and since many of our facilities need renovation or completion, the proposed improvements will impact our student population in a positive way.

As a result of funds raised by The Athletic Booster Club, the Alumni and Friends Association, and the Page/Grimsley Golf Tournament – and in conjunction with the Guilford County Schools – most of PHASE 1 has been completed!

PHASE 1 GOALS

  • Clearing out area behind the visitors stands - COMPLETED
  • Construction of earth bridge connecting Cone fields to the main campus -COMPLETED
  • Fencing along the new visitors’ entrance and bridge - COMPLETED
  • Paving the new visitor entrance, the new bridge, and the path to Cone fields - COMPLETED
  • Construction of new concessions/restrooms/ticketing building serving fields  near Cone Elementary and the visitors’ side of the football field - CONSTRUCTION 08-2008

Phase 1 will be completed by:

  1. Landscaping around the new visitors’ entrance,
  2. adding more and safer parking near our tennis courts (in cooperation with the City of Greensboro), and
  3. upgrading the home and visitor  stadium entrances.

Construction of a new HOME concession/field house is the next project on the plan! YOU can help us make it happen!

We need and appreciate your continued support! For more information call us at 336-282-3919.

Suzanne and Chuck Seeger, Co-Presidents of the Athletic Booster Club

Future phases:

Phase 2 -

Move buses from our landlocked campus to create more practice fields, build permanent seating for baseball, and construct a concessions building to include classroom space, field house, and much needed storage.

Phase 3 -

Permanent bleachers for football visitor side, a three-mile cross-country track, renovation of outside restrooms, a baseball press box, permanent seating for tennis, track side fencing, and storage and safety netting for practice fields.

Phase 4 -

Hopefully, a plan and not a pipe dream!  A new scoreboard for Kirby stadium, outfields, an aquatics center, additional field lighting, permanent seating for softball/soccer/lacrosse, additional parking, and safety netting at practice fields

The first three phases are approximately $300,000 each. Phase 4 is in the millions! Let's dream it into existence!
